The University of East Anglia’s ODG is looking for a Senior Research Associate (Payments for Environmental Services in Rwanda)
Salary: £28,290 per annum (pay award pending October 2008)
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Associate to work on a European Research Council funded project entitled ‘Reconciling Biodiversity and Development through Direct Payments for Conservation’. You will join the project at an early stage and will be expected to contribute to the design and planning of field research, manage data collection and field data, make a significant contribution to analysis and synthesis of data, and produce written outputs for publication.
It is essential you have, or will be awarded within six months of appointment, a PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant science or social or natural science discipline. It is essential you have previous experience in field based research data collection and managing and analysing research data.
The appointment is available from 1 November 2008, or as soon as possible thereafter, on a full time basis for a fixed term period of 39 months. Whilst the post is based at UEA in Norwich, it is expected that roughly half of your time will be spent in Rwanda.
