The European Commission said on Thursday the link between an EU market in carbon emissions permits and a related UN-run trading scheme can start in the first half of October, provided remaining preperations are done

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM: August 8, 2008.- ” … following satisfactory completion of the remaining preparatory work, the linking … can start in the first half of October this year,” the EU executive said in a statement.
