All countries can contribute solutions to the environmental problems shared by large Latin American cities. Air, water and soil pollution and their negative effects on climate, health and quality of life of the populations of for large cities should be approached globally. Answers to these challenges should come from society at large.
The vision, experience and knowledge of scientists, technologists, academics, businessmen and government policy- makers put together will undoubtedly lead to sustained and sustainable actions resulting in a cleaner environment and societies with a better quality of life.

EXPO INCYTAM 2008 seeks to make of Mexico City an ideal venue for the convergence of the experiences and proposals of the most outstanding scientists, technologists, senior-level executives and government policy- makers in order to take short and medium –term measures for ensuring clean and inviting cities.
Mexico City welcomes participants from around the world for The EXPO INCYTAM 2008. Exhibitions, conferences, discussion panels and productive meeting panels will be held at this event for the purpose of getting to know, exploring, discussing and to showing the latest advances in science and technology for the environmental stewardship of large cities.

EXPO INCYTAM 2008 will bring together firms, professionals and experts from the environmental industry, specialist, scientists, institutions, academics, and post graduate students interested in displaying their technologies, processes, projects and innovations for the purpose of solving the main environmental problems faced by large Latin American cities. The Mexico City government, through The Mexico City Institute of Science and Technology (ICyTDF), together with Mexico City´s Agency of the Environment, organizes EXPO INCYTAM 2008: a Spanish acronym for : “Scientific and Technological Environmental Innovations for large Latin American cities”. This event offers an ideal venue for senior business executives, science and technology leaders and government policy-makers to explore their shared goals on environmental issues, to analyze the solutions proposed for attaining those goals, to promote public–private partnerships for implementing those proposals, to foster partnerships and to conduct business that support progressive environmental companies helping large Latin American cities to reap the greatest benefit possible from being environmentally responsible.
