CMA4CH MEETING, 2008: CHEMOMETRICS AND MULTIVARIATE ANÁLISIS IN CULTURAL HERITAGE
05.12.08 - Leído 22 veces. Enviar esta nota1 to 4 June 2008
Ventotene, Italy. The Meeting will be interest to theorists, researchers, professors, experts, technicians, involved in multivariate techniques in order to improve the knowledge of the environment and of the cultural artifacts
Every analytical technique/method is welcome if it can be used in a multivariate way.
A cultural item is born in the Environment and suffers all the problems related to its natural and overall anthropogenic pollution; so, the environmental conditions play a fundamental ageing or protecting role on Cultural Heritage. As a consequence, any study regarding restoration and/or conservation of artifacts cannot be correctly carried out if in the past, present and future conservation the Environment is not considered.
Multivariate analysis and chemometry are integrated approaches indispensable to the knowledge of the history of the cultural item, its constructive techniques, degradation, dating and origin (integrated approach to the knowledge).
The Meeting permits you to exchange new ideas, get access to information not yet published, participate in an interdisciplinary forum and share your research with other engineers, scientist, researchers and company managers.
The organization of this meeting will consist of a series of oral presentations in three days. The three main sections of the meeting will be presented and discussed in a series of oral and poster contributions.
Each session have a plenary lecture (25 duration) as preface, to highlight major accomplishments, trends and technical challenges of chemometry in selected research fields; then, an oral contribute, selected on the basis of extended abstracts, will be presented (16-20 minutes duration) in serial sessions.
Oral presentation slides must be IN ENGLISH but you can speak in ANY Mediterranean language.
