JERUSALEM, Israel; May 14, 2007.- Clal and Merhav have started to assess the wind energy sector in Greece and have so far closed basic agreements with two Greek engineering companies to investigate the potential of several areas in the country, the company said in a statement to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
Clal said there was no certainty it would sign a final agreement with Merhav, or that it would invest in the alternative energy sector.
IDB Development owns a 60.52 percent stake in Clal.
Merhav, a holding company that specialises in financing major projects, is owned by Israeli businessman Yosef Maiman and has projects worldwide.
